Welcome to motifdeveloper.com, the new MW3

Motifdeveloper.com - Major Resource for Motif Developers

Motifdeveloper.com is the major resource for professional software engineers working with the Motif toolkit for the X Window System. It is your portal to knowledge and information from leading experts.

Motifdeveloper.com has a Bulletin Board open to all those interested in Motif and GUIs in general. It is for discussion of all aspects of the use, deployment and development of Motif. The Board will be visited regularly by IST's Motif experts who will contribute news and views and will respond to users' questions. Unfortunately we have had to suspend the operation of the Bulletin Board.

The site started life in 1995 as MW3: Motif on the World Wide Web. It was initially overhauled and updated in November 2000, when it was renamed motifdeveloper.com. Since then, it has been maintained and updated by a team of technical experts led by Antony Fountain, Principal Software Engineer at IST Limited, and a leading authority on the use and deployment of the Motif toolkit.

Antony is the lead author of the latest editions of the O'Reilly Motif Programming Manual and the Motif Reference Manual, both of which are available online at http://www.ist.co.uk/motif.

His 'Ask Antony' feature gives comprehensive answers to technical questions posed by you, the readers and users of the site. As well as Motif, related topics such as cross-platform techniques with Windows and Java are covered. Techniques for migrating applications from out-of-date tools and environments are also discussed. Unfortunately we have had to suspend the operation of this service.
